Water-Based Coatings, Adhesives and Machinery

Water Based Pressure Sensitive Adhesives
Starch and dextrin are processed from natural resources such as corn to create water based pressure sensitive adhesives with a lower cost per pound for long term savings. For example, GF #637P glue comes in 10.5 gallon units, is amber in color, and lays evenly and flat, with a 2200-2700 cps viscosity. Its slow setting speed allows for easy repositioning after initial placement. GF #637P is stored at room temperature, has a six-month shelf life, and can be cleaned up with soap and water.

Water-Based Acrylic Coatings
Gluefast’s acid-free, water-based acrylic coatings are designed to be used with most water based and solvent inks and can be applied to both paper and canvas. With greater elasticity and a fast drying time, water-based acrylic coatings can bend easily over stretchers in canvas mounting applications without cracking, and the UV protection adds up to just pennies per square foot. Quantities are sold in quarts, gallons, 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.

Water Based Glue Laminating Machinery
Holding about five pounds of hot melt in its glue tank, the Meltcator Adhesive Application Machine is a heavy-duty piece of water based glue laminating machinery designed for consistent daily use and years of service. This professional, 120-volt. hot melt roll coater is capable of laying down an even, consistent layer of adhesive in either solid or corduroy patterns, with an electronically controlled thermostat and variable speed adjustment, so the rate and temperature can be adjusted during an application. The standard Meltcator is 10”, and the Meltcator 2 offers widths of 12”, 20” and 24”.
